Wellness @ Work

Who:  This free app is geared towards working professionals in the community navigating regular trauma exposure in the workplace. (i.e. public health, safety, justice, education, advocacy + more) 

 

What:  5 TCTSY videos - each one under 5 minutes; This includes small amounts of trauma sensitive movement + variations of rest. 

 

You can participate as much or as little as you'd like.

 

Where + When:  Shift work or unexpected long hours can be brutal on work-life schedules.  Feel free to use when it works best for you. 

​

How:  You might view or practice one video at a time (each less than 5 minutes) or possibly altogether (collective time under 20 min.) in no specific order. 

​

No right or wrong.

​

Why:  Why not?  Research reflects that the ability + capacity to accurately identify your physical or functional needs (or interoception) can be increased within present moment experiences found through the practice of trauma-sensitive yoga. 

​

More specifically, this practice of choice created by the Center for Trauma + Embodiment, has been found to help reduce traumatic stress levels within individuals choosing to participate in their own time.

​​

With that said, everybody is different.  Your access and capacity to connect to your body might vary over time. 

​

Only you can determine when it might be a good time to start or stop your practice of body awareness.
